Dr. Lynn Locklear is a 1990 graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry and a Wellesley College Alumna. Since 2002 she has completed over five hundred hours of postgraduate training in cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry and the treatment of cranial facial pain, including a post-doctoral residency with Dr. Steve Olmos, a nationally recognized TMD and sleep disorder specialist.
After operating a successful family practice for ten years, she created Life Enhancing Dentistry, a niche practice whose mission is to significantly enhance the quality of peoples' lives in a way that is meaningful and lasting. Her unique and highly successful approach to patient care landed her Black Enterprise Magazine's Small Business Innovator of the Year Award in 2006.
Dr. Locklear has appeared on numerous local and national news and radio programs. She is the founder and Chief Executive of the Gift of a Smile Foundation. Her Washington, D.C. practice is specifically dedicated to to Comprehensive Esthetic Rehabilitation and treatment of Cranial Facial pain.
Dr. Locklear is dedicated to life-long learning and to that end enjoys sharing her knowledge with others through lectures and mentoring.
