Patient Review 1:

Went for multiple gum grafts. Dr. Smith and his staff were very polite and professional, and the procedure went well. He did a follow-up procedure when one of the grafts receded. Couldn't be happier. Not cheap, but that's not the point. This is a one-dentist shop, so you have to book about a month ahead of time, and everything has to be rescheduled if he gets sick.
Treatment Length with Dr. Smith: 6 months.

Patient Review 2:

I HATE HATE HATE dentists!!! Dr. Smith and his staff are very caring and compassionate when it comes to cowards such as myself. They administered medication that had me out for the entire procedure, which is something that is a must for me.

Patient Review 3:

I am extremely fearful of going to the dentist and always have great anxiety. I generally try to get referrals to new dentists when I move to a new location. I moved to the DC area and knew that I had gum problems that I needed to receive treatment for. I used the Dr. Oogle site to find a specialist and went through the reviews to determine who I would go to. After deciding on Dr. Karl Smith, I went for my consultation. I was extremely pleased with the service I received and I felt that the recommendations made to me for gum surgery were thorougly detailed and reasonable. I had two separate sessions for the surgery and I was very comfortable throughout the entire process and I have been equally as pleased with the results from the surgeries. Everyone at the office was very helpful and accomodating. There is not anything at all that I can say that would be negative about my experience with Dr. Smith's office. I would highly recommend him to anyone for dental treatment.

Patient Review 4:

I had gum grafts done with Dr. Smith's office. This was the 2nd treatment I had done with his office. I must say that when I went back to my dentist that referred me to him, he could not even tell I had them. He said that my roots did not show anymore. but he could not see the grafted gum. I can now eat extreme cold/hot food and not have pain in my teeth. I did not have to take much pain medicine except tylenol and I worked the next day! They offered me 12 months to pay and I pay less than 100.00 per month. It is great. I never thought I would have done this but I am glad I did. Dr. Smith has a great, serene office and his employees are friendly and caring. I recommend him to all.

Patient Review 5:

My implant experience was GREAT! I was extremely fearful and Dr. Smith used medication to relax me. Truly, I don't remember the experience. I really liked how clean the office was and his front desk staff is so nice. My regular dentist had told me to go to one oral surgeon that he works with, but I found Dr. Smith on my own. I had read on many dental websites about the benefits of using a periodontist for implants. Dr. Smith was on my insurance plan list. My insurance did not cover the dental implants but did cover the examination and x-rays. I have found that his implant cost (expensive but worth it) was lower than the first surgeon that my dentist told me to go to. I feel I had great service and Dr. Smith educated me about everything.
