Dr. Mongelos does great work and does not try to recommend unnecessary, expensive procedures (like many dentists do). The practice is also just him (and one staffperson), so you don't feel like you're in some kind of dental factory / assembly line when you go in for a cleaning.In the past, I've always had a pretty serious pain in one of my gums whenever I flossed or the dentist poked there. Dr. Mongelos showed me a different method of flossing, which really paid off when I came back the next time and didn't have ANY pain at all.Dr. Mongelos and his staff (just one other person) are EXTREMELY friendly, and I was able to get an appointment within a week both times I've gone there.He works with both kids and adults, and I've never seen him in action with kids, but he seems like a very friendly guy and I'm sure the kids like him.Highly recommended!

Dr. Mongelos is friendly and welcoming and his assistants are just as warm. He knows what he is doing and uses advanced equipment to get the job done. He has done potentially painful and discomforting procedures on me yet I was extremely comfortable during the process and experienced very minimal to no pain at all after the procedures. I couldn't have found a better dentist! Highly Recommend!

Finally found a dentist in DC, a task I had been avoiding unnecessarily. Dr. Mongelos took a lot of time to convince me that my cracked tooth was too far gone to correct properly with a crown. He is very gentle, and this implant was much less painful than with my previous dentist. He was very knowledgeable with insurance billing. His office was able willing to coordinate the billing of two insurance companies, which several larger dental offices I called refused to do.
