I have had cleaning, whitening, crowns and mercury fillings removed and replaced. I was extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the entire crew, in particular, Dr. Rogers.

I sought consultation initially with Dr. Rogers because I specifically wanted to get rid of old mercury fillings and I understood that he is particularly trained to ensure safety and success. During my initial consult, Dr. Rogers explained the process and examined my mouth and prepared a cost estimate. I was able to send the cost estimate to my dental insurance carrier and get the work approved in advance so that I would know exactly how much it would cost me after insurance. As a Federal employee, I used pre-tax savings to pay for the remainder of the work. The fillings removal was painless and over in a matter of minutes - unbelievable. I would highly recommend a visit to this dental practice. About Hygienist: All of Dr. Rogers' hygienists demonstrated interest in my welfare; for the major work I had a warm compress applied to my neck from the micro and back support. I was able to tune in to the television channel of my choice - so on Columbus day I watched the History Channel for my 1.5 hour "surgery." The dental impressions were made immediately and were appropriate to the fit required. I was amazed at the technical proficiency displayed. Also, Dr. Rogers "surgical" assistant was particularly good in dealing with the temporary and permanent crown placement. I couldn't be more pleased. (S. Mason)

Although my reason for going to Dr. Rogers wasn't pleasant (TMJ disorder), I couldn't imagine a more pleasant overall experience at a dentist's office. Everyone in the office is very friendly, helpful, and respectful and it's a great atmosphere. Dr. Rogers has taken the time to discuss my condition with me, explain my options, and answer all my questions, which has made me feel a lot more comfortable about what's going on. It's too early in my treatment (day and night-time appliances) to tell if the hoped-for results will be achieved, but I'm confident that I'm at the right place. I originally just came to Dr. Rogers for TMJ treatment but plan to go to him for general dentistry from now on as well - I've never found a better a dental practice!

I was first introduced to Dr Rogers through his former partner, Dr Brown in 1995 (as best estimated from memory). Dr Rogers handled the work associated with replacing my mercury fillings, conducting root canels and crown and inlay replacements. Dr Rogers has excellent chair-side manners and is very thorough in explaining the what, why, how and when's as well as very good in responding to a host of questions.

The entire appointment setting through appointment to setting the next appointment experience is painless and shoudl be a model for other service providers of dentistry or any other service! The staff and office culture is absolutely wonderful.

In addition to having root canals done, I also have had a complete set of veneers done after my implants were completed. My veneers are amazingly beautiful and they have strongly contributed to my wonderful sense of self-esteem.

The treatment process was a great success. Although the process was costly, the dental procedures went smoothly and I have had such wonderful treatment from every member of the staff.

The part I remember the most is when the dentist and two of his assistants took the extra time to walk outside with me to make absolutely sure that the color of my veneers would be perfect when they were done. The color turned out so well and I am thrilled with the results.

For me it's important to be comforted and comfortable when visiting a dentist. Having been served in the past by good dentists who also served several patients simultaneously in a production "factory type" setting was not a comforting feeling but Fairlington Dental is not like that at all. I feel right at home in the no-pressure, relaxing office environment at Fairlington Dental. The staff are very skilled at smiling and making patients feel welcome when they arrive and while waiting to be served and Dawn the receptionist is world class as is Dr. Rogers. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rogers - he listens to understand and gauges his patients before offering a very clear explanation of how healthy your teeth are, and what he recommends doing to make them better. Living overseas for 3 yrs in Europe with very good dental care there I found myself making it a point to stop in and have Dr. Rogers check me over. Just before one trip home, one of my cavities broke just before the trip and though I was just passing thru the area the staff was able to fit me in to fix my tooth so I could continue my journey - that's world-class service!

Both my husband and I have been with Dr Rogers since before his current practice. We had to find him since he was unable to take his clients with him. He's a gentle caring man with an easy chairside manner. One of his best features is that he's straightforward and communicates clearly with you. He understands that cost is a concern but in the long run it's your overall health that is affected. If we do the maintenance the cost is actually minimal. Over the yrs Dr R had replace all my old mercury fillings; installed crowns and manipulated my bite. His staff is always pleasant and you get the same hygienist each time if possible so they're familiar with you and your mouth. They remember the little stuff and we talk about the dog, or maybe in your case your kids... I do enjoy having the TV to watch even if sometimes I can't hear it. YOu might be interested to know that Dr R can hypnotize you if you need help relaxing. What other Dental office sends you off with fresh baked cookies? Dr. Rogers and his staff provided orthodonture for my two daughters. Both needed jaw expansion to create space. One received traditional wire braces and the other was treated with Invisalign. Both girls have beautiful smiles!!!

I didn't get braces when I was a kid and ended up needing major jaw surgery and 2.5 years of braces when I was in my late-30's. Never want to see my children go through that.

My oldest daughter had been treated by Orange County's top orthodontist before we moved to DC in 2003. She was developing TMJ eventhough we had spent thousands of dollars on her ortho care in California. Dr. Rogers diagnosed and treated her with jaw expansion and braces. Today, she has a beautiful smile and great jaw structure. And the chronic headaches are gone.

My second daughter is just completing Invisalign to correct an overbite that had every single molar out of place. She needed jaw expansion twice. Dr. Rogers gave us a credit for the second round of expansion. Today, her bite is perfect! The gap in the front of her teeth is gone. She loves to smile.

Neither of my girls was excited to get ortho care, but Dr. Rogers talked with them, gave them choices when he could, asked them what they wanted. Great with teens!

Dr. Rogers is one of roughly 500 doctors across the USA that treats TMJ disorders. As he is a TMJ patient himself he has devoted much of his energy to developing a speciality practice in the area and has become a leader in the field. He has a vast array of treatment options.

I had years of bone loss due to grinding and a misaligned jaw (due mainly to an earlier car accident). The periodontist had given up and was waiting until my teeth fell out to build bridges. I was 38 at the time. Dr Rogers proscribed a treatement of care to passively realign my jaw. When he discovered I had a severely dislocated jaw that required surgery, he helped identify a surgen in my health plan to perform the surgery. Braces followed the surgery. Time after time during the course of treatment, Dr. Rogers was challenged. It is to his remarkable care that I still have all my teeth today and I am pain free.

My treatment was very expensive. However, he worked with me to complete my treatment for the least cost in the most expeditious manner.

I was referred to Dr. Roger's office, by the Dental Office that my doctor has referred me to; the Dental Office was not taking any new patient so they gave me Dr. Roger's office.

I am very glad that they did! Not only is he very knowledgeable in his field, he also takes the time to listen to the patient which is a major plus! His staff is very attentive and they are very accomodating.

I have absolutely no complaints except I wish that they would take insurance. However they do offer Care Credit to help offset the cost associated with dental bills.

I recently had a number of old metal fillings replaced, including one that required fabrication of a ceramic insert top. From prior checkups, I knew that Dr. Rogers and his team are pros -- thorough, gentle, and informative. I went into this procedure wondering whether there would be pain and whether my mouth would feel the same afterward. Dr. Rogers and his team took the time to explain everything thoroughly, to replace the fillings quickly, to grind them so they felt perfect, and to be kind and courteous as usual. They even let me watch the fabrication machine create the new ceramic top for the tooth with the largest filling. There was not a bit of discomfort or pain throughout the entire procedure. When I got home, Dr. Rogers called to make sure my bite felt right and that I was not in pain. Best dentist I've been to.

About Hygienist: Virginia was very skilled, spotting a minute crack in one tooth as the old filling was extracted. They were able to fix it then so it doesn't cause problems later. LaVonn was the hygienist for my last check-up and is also very good.

Dr. Rogers is the VERY best dentist I have EVER been to. He and his staff take continuing education courses to make the office experience better for his patients, but in my opinion they are already the best, I am not sure how you can improve on perfection. As for the cost of his procedures his charges are well inline with what my insurance company reimburses, the most I have ever had to pay out of pocket was $20.00. I have two sons 12 and 14 years old, I have never had to MAKE them go to see Dr. Rogers, they both go happily. When you come to this office you truly feel like the most important patient of the day!

Dr Rogers is professional, honest (key to trust) and is actually very funny, which helps the nuts like me "open wide." Although the rating above says expensive, it's really cheap when you compare what you get for your money. Dr Rogers' entire operation is the greatest from the time you walk into the office (greeted by friendly cheerful receptionists offering to make you comfortable with coffee or tea to just knowing your name) through the procedures (whether cleaning, preventative, problem resolution, consults , you're asked about watch to watch/listen to while there), to the actual procedure where you are informed about every step they are performing so you are never surprised or feel a sudden pinch unsuspectedly. He is high tech with an gentleman's approach to making sure you are always comfortable and you know what you are getting. My Grandfather and Uncle were both dentists and they would be proud to have Dr Rogers in their profession. I could not be more pleased with the quality and exceptional service my family has received from this office. I highly recommend his practice to everyone. If he recommends anything, you can rest assured it is in your best interest. All of his employees are the best at what they do because of the high standards he requires of his employees. Our family of four has been very, very happy & satisfied patients of Mike for about 15-years now. In fact, we followed Mike to his current practice (further from our home) after he moved from a practice that was closer to our home! When you find an outstanding, caring dentist like MIke Rogers, then the extra travel distance required is totally inconsequential. It always feels like we're visiting a good friend whenever we go in for Mike's checkups/cleanings/dentistry. My daughter still talks in awe about the "gentle dental" way Mike pulled two of her teeth (to make room for braces) ...she felt nothing at all during the extractions! In fact, Mike calmly told her about the procedure, what she could expect, and that he would pull when he "counted to five". He counted to five, but unbeknownst to my daughter, Mike had already extracted the tooth when the count had reached the number three. My daughter was shocked and amazed that her tooth had been extracted and yet she had felt absolutely nothing! Though my wife and I already knew how special Mike is as a dentist, that day with our daughter confirmed not only Mike's dental expertise to us, but his genuine caring for the concerns of his patients; no matter how old or young.

Excellent dentist. He is attentive and listens to his patients. I appreciate that he offered me different treatment options and did not try to push too hard on any one (expensive) option. Dr. Holly put in my crown and was very exacting about it. He sent it back to the lab when it was not up to his standards. The office prepares your insurance forms for you to mail, which I suppose is the norm or better than the norm (i.e., no assistance) in the area. The prepay discount option of 5% for large procedures makes the expensive procedures easier to swallow.

I am plagued by dental nastiness. Dr. Rogers was the first dentist to really listen to my concerns and offer concrete ways to help treat my issues. He has helped many of my teeth problems, and is working now to resolve the remaining ones. His techniques are of the highest caliber. This is a level of dental service and expertise that few dentists have, and I should know, seeing as in the last 10 years I have been treated by 3 endodontists, 1 oral surgeon, and 4 dentists! Dr. Rogers is great! He takes the time to explain the state my dental health and any procedures that need to be done. He never pressures you if a procedure is not critical but preventive and lets you decide whether to have it done.

The billing is done per service but the receptionist provides the paper work that is needed to submit to my insurance so the reimbursement comes directly to me.

I've known Dr Rogers for a long time and being in the diplomatic world I've had dentistry from Albania to Saudi Arabia. Dr Rigers got the delightful challenge of fixing the my overseas denistry which he took on like a [rofessional. So far I've had 4 root canals and crowns. He's changed all my old silver for white fillings and recommended treatments at other specialist when he's felt it was needed. All my girlfriends now go there as well (and he keeps on sending me $25 gift cards every time someone else joins up!) I don't recommend him for the gift cards...I recommend him because my whole family treats going to the dentist as a simple fact of life not a kicking and screaming deal like I remember as a child. All the staff back immediately away at the slightest twinge of discomfort, (real or imaginery!) from any patient but the care and attention everyone gives makes the bill definately worth while. When your children are happy to go to the dentist it's priceless. Dr Rogers and Dr Holly have treated both of my children for retainers and now as teens are about to start invisaligns. 'Donna and the Office staff are wonderful . He's expensive but most dentists are, so go with the amazing level of competetancy and service .

A friend referred me to Dr. Rogers and Dr. Holly. My past experiences with military dentistry were anything but pleasant, but this practice has helped reduce my apprehension about going to the dentist. I have a excellent rapport with Dr. Holly, who really explains everything as he is working. I also appreciate the fact that they do not "preach" to me on dental hygiene ad nauseam; I am reminded the importance of flossing, which I hate.

I've had two root canals, one crown, and a on lay since I've been a patient. The procedures were handled efficiently and professional by Dr. Holly and Martha - my Dynamic Duo. Dr. Holly is concerned for his patient's pain and anxiety that they may experience during treatment and I know for a fact that he will do his best to create a positive experience.

Cost is major concern for many people these days. The have great options that I like: 5% if you prepay before your treatment, CareCredit through GM offering interest free payments, and they accept my insurance; however, you are required to pay up front and they give you the paperwork (envelope and stamped) to mail to them, then the money comes straight to you.

I love this office and I extremely fortunate to have found them.

I have suffered from extreme dental anxiety for over 45 years. There were points of time that I just would not go to the dentist. I tried everything to conquer the fear - hypnosis, sedation - even general anesthesia! NOTHING calmed me down until I found Dr. Rogers. He has done a lot of work on me getting my mouth back in shape from years of neglect. Nothing hurts - ever. No sedation is necessary. Just had a crown done and I did not even have a twinge of apprehension. No big deal. Just like a normal errand - drop off the drycleaning, fill up the gas tank, go get a crown at Dr. Rogers, return a video. Some of my dental experiences before Dr. Rogers were so horrible. I always feel like writing a thank you note afterwards - he is that amazing! He is a dental angel sent from heaven - he is truly magical. All the staff in his office are top notch, friendly, and go out of their way to help. Dr. Rogers is not only one of the top dentists in the area - he ranks up there with top dentists in the world!!!

I have seen both Dr. Rogers & Dr. Holly and I have only good things to say about both of them. I have a lot of axiety about going to the dentist due to bad experiences in the past, but they have really helped to make me feel comfortable.

I had to have a filling replaced that was done 2 years ago by another dentist, and it was a completely pain free experience.

They entire staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. The only downside is that they don't take insurance, but they do print the forms for you right in office and make it as easy as possible to submit them to your own insurance company for reimbursement.

The Fairlington Dental practice is fantastic, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dentist!!! I used to avoid going to the dentist because the whole process was so bad, but I found Fairlington Dental about 7 years ago when I wanted a whitening procedure done. I also talked with them then about other dental treatment. I was so impressed with their professionalism, yet easy way of communicating that I've been with them ever since. I've had my teeth completely overhauled there over the last four years or so -- removing all the nasty old mercury fillings and replacing them with porcelain, onlays or crowns. It involved a lot of procedures, but it was all worth it -- and I feel so much better. They were so careful about my comfort that I didn't have any pain even why I had 2 or 3 root canals done in one day. I hope Dr. Rogers and his staff are around for a long time to come.

After many years of scary dentists, I finally found Dr. Rogers...he is the only dentist that I will let touch me. He really believes in managing pain and anxiety, which is huge for me. He once gave me five root canals in one visit with NO PAIN. I love him!!

I have been a patient at Fairlington Dental for 5 years and counting. Dr. Rogers is very interested in how you are doing in regards to teeth and overall health. This place is not like the normal dentist office, they really do care about you and really do consider your budget and offer many ways to correct your teeth. If you go and see them, you will soon be crossing the "find a dentist" off your list, you will have one for a long long time. The staff at FD really makes the whole experience wonderful. About Hygienist: I see both Sally and Megan and both are just FANTASTIC. Not only do they do a Fantastic job in cleaning, they both really do care about you, your life, and also gossip about anything you want. It really is kind of fun to get your teeth cleaned by either of them. Sally is just Awesome, and Megan just Can't be beat at all. If either are available, you are all set. Not sure which one I would choose, both are fun and make you smile.

I had a very hard time trying to find a dentist that I was happy with when the one that I had been going to since I was old enough to see a dentist retired. My old dentist was like family and I was very upset that he could no longer see me. I found another dentist, but my expectations were soo high, he didnt please me, and I began to lose hope of finding a dentist that was right for me. But, then I found Dr. Rogers and his office. I am finally satisfied again with my dentist, and actually look forward to my visits, which hadn't happened since my old dentist retired. I had an inlay done and it was a painless procedure, and only bothered me once the novacaine wore off that day, and it hasn't hurt at all since that one day. Dr. Rogers is very thorough, gentle, and pleasant, with great chair-side manner. He explains everything thoroughly before he does anything, or when he is suggesting treatments. All of the staff are amazingly friendly, and they make it a point to get to know you. This office has the latest of new technology in dentistry!! They make the insurance submissions so easy! If you are scared of dentists, or if you are extremely picky like me, then visit Fairlington Dental, and you will not be disappointed

About Hygienist: Debra is an awesome hygienist. Very Pleasant, very careful, and is extremely gentle, I felt no pain at all. Cleanings usually hurt, but not with her. She explains everything very clearly and knows her stuff. The new flouride film is really cool, no more annoying trays of the gross foamy flouride, the film lasts longer and you don't need to wait to be able to eat after it! The goody bag is a perfect touch, my last dentist sent me home with nothing!

Dr. Rogers was recommended to fix my TMD by the receptionist at my regular dentist. His approach and understanding of the problem and solution was bar none the best. His staff is great to deal with and very customer service oriented. Every step of the way, the are informed and helpful.

Dr. Rogers gives solid, practical advice and recommends only treatments that are essential and/or preventative. Appointment times are kept punctually and this I appreciate a lot. The computerized record system is a great boon.

I have seen enough dentists to know that Dr. Rogers is one of a kind. Dr. Rogers and his staff are terrific. They are all professional and friendly. Dr. Rogers takes the time out necessary to listen to what your concerns are (which is rare) and he is empathetic. Furthermore, he takes the time to thoroughly explain the options available and the pros and cons of each. He makes you feel comfortable and I can honestly say there is no pain. That is half the battle when going to the dentist. His office is immaculate and an added bonus is that they bake chocolate chip cookies. I would recommend Dr. Rogers definitely without question.

Even when he moved his office from our Fairfax neigborhood to Arlington, we considered it definitely worth the added trip to stay with him. My childhood experiences with dentists had left a bad taste in my mouth (literally), but Dr. Rogers has renewed my trust in dentists. He maintains his knowledge and skills at the leading edge of dental technology and his equipment and procedures are state of the art. His chair-side manner is nothing short of outstanding! Dr. Rogers is friendly, honest and professional, and your visit is never rushed. He spends as much time as necessary diagnosing and explaining in detail any problems that you have and the options for treatment. And I must say, that with all the restorative dental work and ortodontics that I've had done by Dr. Rogers, over the years, I've never had a painful experience. Painless root canal?...Wow! The Fairlington Dental office staff is also the best in the business. Friendly, helpful, professional. They greet you by name when you come in and take care of everything for you, including completing the insurance forms. Even fresh baked cookies on your way out!

I don't think I can review Dr. Rogers without reviewing the entire Fairlington Dental practice. I have never been to any medical facility that is so well run. When I walk in, I never have to introduce myself, as they all seem to know who I am. I have never had to wait more than a minute or two, which sometimes seems a shame since their waiting area is so comfortable. The front desk staff, dental hygienists and dentists all treat me with respect and seem to have all of the time in the world to answer my questions. They fully explain all treatment options, to include costs. The dental hygienists are fantastic. I never have that "ooh noo" feeling when I see them reaching for something sharp, because everything is explained to me before it happens. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Dr. Rogers is no exception. When I decided to straighten my crooked teeth (at the age of 38!), he helped me to decide which type of device I wanted to go with. He explained the effectivenss and intrusiveness of each option, as well as the overall price. I ended up selecting the most expensive option (Invisalign) and never regretted it.

If you want the best dental care at very reasonable prices, then Dr. Rogers and his staff are it! Our entire family has been going to Dr. Rogers for 12 years for ALL our dental care needs. You name it, he's done it for us basically pain free. He and his staff are dynamic people who are continuously getting educated (and educating others) in their field and passing their knowledge onto us.

We actually followed Dr. Rogers to this practice when he left another. We tried other doctors but were very disappointed. I guess we are now spoiled!

Once you tour their office, you quickly realize that they are not into this practice to just make money, they are truly committed to providing the best experience possible to every single patient - every single time. That is hard, but they actually do it.

My kids are ages 16 and 12 and love to go to the dentist. and I know they are getting the best care and memories of dental treatment that will keep them going to the dentist once they are on their own.

Our family was one of the first to be patients of Dr. Brown, who was the founding dentist of the Fairlington practice. That was probably over 19 years ago ... and we wouldn't go anywhere else. We were sad to have Dr. Brown retire, but are most pleased with both Dr. Rogers and Dr. Holly. As others have said, it is nowhere the dreaded experience all of us have of our previous dentists. I often recommend them to friends looking for a good dentist ... and am thanked profusely for it. This practice is so on top of the latest technology.
