Patient Review 1:

My three children and myself have had our teeth cleaned at Dr. Cocolis's office and my son had his two front teeth pulled there. The staff is very nice, and my children had good experiences there. I was very nervous about my son going under gas to get his teeth pulled but they let me sit in the room and made me feel at ease. We have only seen Dr. Cocolis's partner, Dr. Ngo, and he is very nice and seems like a very good dentist. Some of the costs seem a little high to me, but I am not sure if that might be because our insurance doesn't cover some things. Overall I would recommend this practice.

Dr. Cocolis is really a great doctor. He is my doctor for 3 years so far. I like the service. he has really a great team.

i would recommend to try him and believe you re gonna like the results. i am talking from my own experience. I've never liked to go to a dentist since i was alitlle. but when i see my teeth after a treatment, i realize that i got to change my thinking a little bit, because they looked great

Prior to visiting Dr. Cocolis, it had been 8 years since I went to a Dentist. I had a major phobia. My wife recommended them, and I figured I had better go before my teeth turned to dust. For my first visit they obviously had to do MAJOR cleaning and I elected to use nitrous. That visit went great, AMAZINGLY I had not ruined my teeth, but there was some more minor work to do.

Since that first visit, I have not needed nitrous, and I not longer fear going to the dentist...or should I say I do not fear going to THIS dentist. Dr. Cocolis is GREAT, he and the staff care, have fun and make going to the dentist a bearable experience for me.

About Hygienist: If you can pick your hygienist, and have some fear of the dentist, I highly recommend Suzy. She is kind and understanding.

I found out about Dr. Cocolis a year ago on this very forum, and now I can confirm all the positive responses about this truly good doctor and his entire staff.

Amazingly, they do seem to remember me and my needs, whether it is about my teeth, my request to let me know about openings in their busy schedule when I need to move my appointment, or just the discussions we had on previous visits.

More importantly, Dr. Cocolis and my hygienist Suzy always explain in great detail the treatments I need, encourage questions, and deliver an excellent service with a great care that guaranties good results and minimal discomfort for my teeth during procedures.

I had three implants done by Dr. Cocolis and, compared with the two implants by another dentist, his treatment was better chosen and executed, and at a lesser cost. By the way, I've noticed Dr. Cocolis is very conscious of the costs of his services to me as his patient.

I highly recommend this doctor for both having dental procedures and routine maintenance of your teeth.

About Hygienist: Suzy is an excellent hygienist, the best I've seen in last 20 years. When I started following her advice, my gums improved to the point where I do not have daily bleeding anymore. This is what I was not able to achieve with any of my previous hygienists.

I have high anxiety about dental work, and I need there to be a personal connection in addition to professionalism. I've been searching for a dentist I can visit regularly after relocating to this area several years ago. I had tried 3 other Dentists with only marginal success.

I discovered Dr. Cocolis's office after reading an article in the local paper about them and discovered that they were very close to my house. I went in initially to address some discomfort I was having, and ended up needing a few cavities to be fixed and ultimately one of the teeth needed a crown. The smaller cavities were taken care of with a laser, so Novocaine wasn't even needed. Dr. Ngo performed all of the work and did an excellent job of explaining each step and easing my nerves.

I go back later this month for another cleaning and hope to be a regular patient with them for a long time. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends. Thanks!

About Hygienist: Enjoyed having my teeth cleaned for the first time in a long time. The Hygienist was polite, and friendly and had suggestions for me to improve my tooth care without making me feel guilty. I highly recommend them!

I recently had root canal work done. No pain during or after!

This dentist is an artist and craftsman of the highest order.

He also has the best run office and staff I have ever seen.

They are technically skilled and actually are happy working for Dr. Cocolis. A side benefit is that if you happen to be a "nervous type" this is definately the place to be. I actually called after the procedure to say thank you!

Dr. C. is the absolute best dentist! I went to him bc I had a broken tooth. The tooth broke below the gumline so it was a major job. Dr.C calmly explained the procedure and how much it would cost b4 taking the first step. I was sooooo relaxed in his chair that I actually fell asleep while he was drilling in my mouth! After my procedure was completed, Dr.C escourted me to the front desk where is assured me that everything would be OK. I have also been checked by Dr. No and he is every bit as reassuring and comforting as Dr. C. Going to the dentist is a joy!

When my old dentist told me I needed an implant he also informed me that I would require other significant dental work due to excessive tooth mobility; I went to Dr Cocolis for a second opinion. Dr Cocolis really took the time to carefully assess my treatment needs and the cause of my dental problems. I was so impressed that I dropped my old dentist and chose Dr Cocolis to do my front tooth implant. During the same treatment session as the implant he also removed two wisdom teeth. That night Dr Cocolis called me to check on my condition. I had no discomfort or pain during or after the treatment. The implant matches my other teeth and is cosmetically and functionally perfect. Based on his treatment plan, I wear a mouth guard (occlusal guard) at night to prevent putting pressure on my front teeth. This simple solution enabled me to avoid the extra dental work recommended by my old dentist. Wearing the guard has reduced the force on my teeth, allowed them to tighten up and reduced the mobility problem. I haven't had any trouble with my implant since it was installed 4 years ago. Dr Cocolis and his office staff provide high quality, professional and friendly treatment. My family now see him for our all of our dental needs.

Everyone makes an effort to connect to you personally. Don't be surprised when random staff persons greet you by name that you don't even remember meeting on previous visits! The office is set up to facilitate communication. You may hear a hundred conversations going on around you from voices hidden behind partitions. Occasionally your hygienist will add her two cents to the ether, but don't worry; she won't get distracted from her business. When you are having something serious done you will soon realize the wisdom of the arrangement. If you listen carefully you will hear verbal checks from more experienced staff members and offers to assist. It's not hard to keep track of the location of "Dr. C" as they call him. Regular outbursts of laughter fill the office wherever he goes. Dr. C and his staff are down-to-earth, straight shooting professionals, so get ready to hear the truth. They won't leach you for your money. Dr. C and his team did a great job on my porcelain cap. They matched my front teeth so perfectly, I lost track of it in the mirror!

Dr. Cocolis was very thorough and knowledgeable. I only went to him for a year while I was in the area, but in that time he helped me out with great cleanings, x-rays including a detailed explanation for me, and information on better brushing techniques. He and his staff are very friendly and make all services pain free. He is a little expensive but probably not far off from his peers.

I had major pain and problems with one tooth for a few years. I went to several dentists who tried different things to treat the problem. Dr. Pete fixed the problem in two visits. I don't have any pain or sensitivity with that tooth any more. He is the best!

THe staff is always friendly and courteous. I really like going there. I would recommend this dentist to everyone. Dr. Pete always explains what he is going to do and that makes me feel relaxed. He's funny too!

Dr. Cocolis and his staff are always helpful, personable and upbeat. The atmosphere is always positive. He's performed a lot of dental work for me in the past and I will continue to go to him in the future. They are always willing to discuss everything in advance and willing to work with whatever dental plan that you are under to keep out of pocket expenses down to a minimum. With such a nice spa type environement it is nice to feel as though you matter and that they truly care about you and your needs. Dr. Cocolis and staff try to make you as comfortable as possible and make your dental experience as pleasant as posssible. I've never been in any pain while in there chairs. He's great and so is his staff! He set the standard for how an office should be.

Dr. Cocolis and the entire staff gave me the best care I have ever had. I had an emergency situation and I was in a lot of pain and he took me in right away. The whole staff comforted me and treated me like I was the only patient there, even though I was not. He explained step by step what he was going to do and constantly asked me if I was comfortable. Everyone in there kept coming back to check on me to make sure I was ok. Even though they don't handle workman's comp. cases, the adminstrative staff took care of that for me so I wouldn't have to and could focus on getting well. I walked in to his office a mess, in terrible pain, and my spirit low. I walked out in no pain, head held high, and with a smile on my face.

Dr. Cocolis did two front crowns for me. Between the two ofus, he was by far the more critical judge, and went the extra mile to make sure that they were an appropriate match for the rest of my teeth. My wife's father was a dentist, and even she was thrilled with the outcome.

Never thought I would write a testimonial on a dentist! Dr Pete is the best. This man is not at all impressed with himself inspite of his great credentials. I had questions before my procedure and he stopped what he was doing and explained to me what needed to be done, showed me with the intra oral camera what needed to be done now and what could wait until another time. He talked during the procedure to let me know what he was doing and it went great. It did not hurt.

Prices are on par to slightly better than some dentist I have visited. Lets face it, nothing is cheap in the DC area. His office is nicely appointed and the staff is super competent and friendly. Suzy cleaned my teeth better than anyone in 15 years! She is a gem.

Dr Pete Cocolis is heads and above any dentist that I have encountered in my 60 years of life. I'm not an easy case, a smoker with advanced perio and few molars and rapidly declining front teeth. I do however have hope and an intense desire to retain what I have and add through implants. I love a great steak and do not relish the idea of eating bananas the rest of my life.

Dr Pete gave me that hope, has put me on the right track, and made an immeasurable difference in my life. What a professional!

Caring, concern and the feeling of well-being is what you get when you walk in his office. He and his staff make you feel like you are a part of their family.

I left my previous dentist due to feeling like "just another mouth". I waited quite some time and when I walked in to Dr. Cocolis's office, I knew it was the right fit. The staff are unbelievably caring and sincerely so. Dr. Cocolis was very, very understanding of my pain needs and made sure I was satisfied completely. Everyone from the front desk staff to the hygenists, assistants, and the doctor are very attentive to you as a patient. They make the insurance submission easy and smooth. They explain every single detail to the patient. I was completely relaxed, and at ease within one hour of arriving. It has been the best dental experience I have ever had and I've been going for 40 years!! Additionally, they did not give up on my teeth whitening, going so far as to find another brand and stick with me until I was satisfied.

Dr. Cocolis and his staff are extremely nice, caring, sensitive, and unrushed. Procedures are always done without pain and the comfort level of the client is foremost in the minds of the entire staff as the work is being performed. He is a perfectionist, when he did my implant and he wasn't 100% satisfied with the results he spent as much as needed to make sure it was perfect before I left the chair.

When any major work is done the Doctor always follows up with a phone call to ensure everything is okay.

I've had to call him twice for emergencies and each time he took care of me within hours, even on a Sunday.

I have and would recommend him to anyone. They all make going to the dentist a relatively pleasant experience.

I totally recommend Dr Cocolis and his staff for any dental treatments needed. As military members we've had dentists worldwide and he has by far surpassed them all in effectiveness of care and ability to make you feel comfortable with your treatments. Dr. Cocolis and all of his staff are the most kind, sensitive, and professional people I have ever allowed touch my teeth. I had to have a cavity filled recently and it was the easiest, fastest, and least painfull cavity filling I have ever had. The last dentist I went to for years before going to Dr. Cocolis was very nice and the fact that this doctor and all of his staff were even nicer was a suprize to me. I usually hate going to the dentist because, no matter what, I would always get a brow beating for not flossing like I should. Now I actually want to floss, not only for my own health, but because I know that no one will be judgmental toward me. They tell you what you need in a straight forward manner and they treat me like I am an adult who will do what I want. Negative attitudes rarely work in getting someone to change their habbits. I would also say that their price is very reasonable for the treatment I get from them. I have "white coat" syndrome which means that I become very anxious and my blood pressure goes up every time I see a doctor. Dr. Cocolis and his staff were very sensitve to this and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend this doctor to everyone looking for a new dentist.

Hands down the nicest dentist in the Northern VA area... OR any area actually!

The office staff just adds more to the overall equation! You really do feel like your well looked after and taken care of!

My family and I moved here from Ca this past summer and were in need of a dentist. We located Dr. Cocolis through our insurance company as being an outstanding provider in our area. I called his office and from the moment that I made that call and talked with the receptionist my family and I have been very happy. They were able to get us appointments that fit our schedule and really make you feel like they care. Myself and my three boys have all been to see Dr. Cocolis and he has taken care of our needs individually as has been very professional and friendly. He has a sense of humor that is very relaxing and pleasant. My boys love him and are not "afraid" to go to the dentist. He was able to refer us to an orthodontist for my son and we are very pleased with his recommendation. The hygenist and office staff are also very courteous and helpful. The office has a small-town feel with such friendly staff and hygienists and excellent customer service. I've been with Dr. Cocolis ever since I was a child. If my memory serves me correct, it's over 10 years now. Since day one he has been very friendly and personable and his work has been pristine. Neither of which have flinched on integrity in the past decade. Only improvements come with his newly ventured personal practice including a very comfortable new office, the latest in practical destistry technology, and of course, his wonderful and caring staff. As hard as it may be to conceive a "comfortable" visit to the Dentist, Dr. Cocolis and his excellent staff will make you a believer.

I recently had my front-top four teeth crowned/veneered by Dr. C and the results were fabulous. I no longer go through life feeling I have to hide my smile. The price I paid was well worth the investment. The pride and overall confidence that have gotten in return will continue to be enjoyed for many years to come. I have moved many times and lived in 7 different states as well as in Europe. This is the best dental experience I have ever had. I especially liked how my x-rays and pictures (of my teeth) were on the computer while we spoke. I have only seen that in Europe. I changed from my old dentist of more than 30 years and I'm SO GLAD I did! Dr. Cocolis treated me like a person, not a number, he explained my problems and treatments and he did an absolute terrific job on my apico, implant and veneers! Dr. Cocolis and his staff provide my entire family with great service - including emergencies. Our teeth have never looked for felt better. New offices (Rolling Road) less than 3 miles from old, but much more modern and bright.

I went to Dr. C when my regular (over 10 years) dentist could not handle an emergency call - and he is now the dentist for our kids as well.

You can tell he knows his stuff and he cares - two great qualities in a medical provider!

a great caring dentist and great caring staff. It's not so unpleasant going to the dentist anymore. Customer service is way up there and I don't feel rushed and like I am on a time limit with the hygienist when I am in there.
