Dr. Sokoly restored four of my teeth recently on the bottom --2 on the left and 2 on the right. I normally panic about the novicaine injection, but I could hardly feel him do it.

It was weird having both sides of my mouth numbed, but Dr. Sokoly took extra cars to make sure that my mouth was protected.

He gave me good advice of things that would help ease the pain as the gum healed. My teeth look great, you can't even tell they were restored. The decay is all gone and I feel and look great! Dr. Sokoly's offer has Direct TV above the dental chairs, so you can watch what you want as he works on you. I would DEFINIEYLY and have recommended his office to anyone!!!!

Great dentist - my husband and I both go. Very relaxing treatment rooms and I've actually fallen asleep in the dentist chair while there! The TVs on the ceiling are a great touch. Dr. Sokoly explains everything to me in understandable terms and treats patients with respect. He doesn't recommend treatments that I don't need or might only marginally need -- i really appreciate the fact that he takes a long-term focus on my treatments instead of just trying to make a sale for a greater procedure immediately. I highly recommend!

I started going to Dr. Sokoly after problems with my old dentist. I chipped my front tooth and had it fixed, but the resin kept falling out. To solve the problem my old dentist keep making the tiny chip bigger and bigger, but nothing seemed to work. After having the chip "fixed" 4 times, I finally decided to switch to Dr. Sokoly, based on reviews from the site.

I had a great experience with him. He fixed the chip right the first time and I haven't had any issues with it since. His staff have been very helpful and accommodating, including squeezing me in even when I was 20 minutes late for an appointment. His office seems to have the newest equipment; xrays quickly come up right on his computer, rather than on films, and they have TVs for the patient chair while they work on your teeth.

I highly recommend Dr. Sokoly to anyone looking for a dentist in the DC area.

I had been going to a family dentist for 8 years and finally had to find my own dentist when I moved to DC. Dr. Sokoly was very nice, friendly, and explained everything. He asked me numerous times how I was doing (something many dentists don't do). I agree that the TVs (with cable) make you completely forget that you are in the dentist. I've been in offices with TVs but never have I been given the remote and channel listing and allowed to pick whatever I want!!

I gave 2s for Treatment success and cost because I haven't gotten to that point yet but even if his office is more on the expensive side you get what you pay for and he will definitely be worth the cost. I've already recommended him to all I know.

Best dental team ever! The wait is never more than a couple of minutes, they always explain exactly what is going on with each procedure, and the office staff is very facilitating with any insurance concerns or questions. They have even installed TVs over the chairs, so as you are getting your cleaning, you can take the remote and flip around, which helps to take your mind off the fact that you are in a dentist's chair. I highly recommend this practice to all!!

I came to Dr Sokoly for a crown. I find him very nice, approachable and willing to explain in great detail the whole procedure, at my demand. I was referred to an excellent dentist for the root canal, and overall I was impressed by the professionalism of the work, although this was my first crown.

The service was excellent, but the real test will be 30 years from now, as the key test of the quality of the work is how long the crown lasts.

Dr. Sokoly is so kind and personable. I was nervous because I hadn't been to a dentist in over 5 years due to lack of insurance and was a bit embarassed. They treated me with kindness and empathy. The office is state of the art and very comfortable and his staff is absolutely amazing! When I had to find a dentist near my new job, I was nervous. My previous dentist was wonderful, offered a wide variety of care options, and did a wonderful job of keeping up with developing technology--all of which I wanted to find. After my initial visit, I have to say that I am extremely pleased and plan to remain a patient of his for as long as I am in the area. I was also happy that he could fit me in for my initial visit soon after calling (it was only about 10 days later). It seems like they do a good job of accepting many different kinds of insurance as well. A week after my visit, I found out that my dental insurance is changing next year, but they accept my new plan as well. Bottom line: if you need a dentist in downtown, go see him!

Dr. Sokoly and his staff are professional and friendly. I have never had any difficulty getting an appointment, even in an emergency, and when I arrive at the office I am always seen at the appointment time with no delays or problems.

My insurer does not make life easy, but Dr. Sokoly's staff have resolved many issues over the years without any hassles.

Dr. Sokoly was a great dentist to go to. I was not sure who to go to but went with the one who was closest to my work and who accepted my insurance.

Dr. Sokoly was very friendly and explained everything in complete detail. His hygenist was very nice and did a great job. His staff was very cooperative to make sure that I had everything I needed and to make sure that my insurance covered everything. They even make reminder phone calls on appointments the morning of them.

Dr. Tom Sokoly was a dissapointment in terms of customer service and treatment. I contacted them and asked if they accpeted Aetna DMO. They said yes, "They're doing the paperwork on it now." They told me that my Aetna DMO insurance would cover the cost of a regular cleaning.

A week later, I get a bill for $160. They do not accept Aetna DMO. Of course I called and complained and it turns out that their incompetant staff made an "error." After some negotiation we agreed that I would pay a discounted rate for their cost of service and would do no further business with them.

I called a week later for to inquire about my adjusted billand left a voicemail. I called 2 weeks later and left yet another voicemail asking for my adjusted bill. No response. 7 months later, I have a COLLECTIONS AGENCY mailing me notices and calling me with many many voicemails. Of course I paid, but I am disappointed that Dr. Sokoly never called me as his staff promised. I would've paid months ago had they returned my calls. In any event, VALIDATE WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY PERSONALLY THAT Dr. Sokoly is in your network. Apparently they will say just about anything to get you in the door.
