I had my first visit with Dr. Schneider, who had come highly recommended by a friend, a couple of months ago. I usually put off dental appointments and have never felt comfortable getting my teeth cleaned because of sensitive gums. Dr. Schneider and his staff were extremely nice, gentle, and put my fears at ease! His front desk staff is also wonderful and very friendly. I am actually looking forward to returning to his office in December for my next check-up, which is a first for me. Dr. Schneider is a great dentist and a very nice person.

If , like me, you're the kind of person who avoids dentists, this is the practice for you. After putting off a visit for 18 years, I finally gave in because of bleeding gums. My husband found Dr Schneider via the glowing recommendations on the web. They are not exaggerated. The office staff are kind, cheerful, and very helpful. A large amount of the cost was covered by a our dental insurance. Dr Schneider himself is gentle and kind, and the hygienist who cleaned my teeth over two separate visits did everything she could to avoid causing pain, while obviously taking pride in the quality of her work. Everyone in this practice cares about the patient and have inspired me to attend regularly in future.

I went to Dr. Schneider's office for a routine (6 months) dental cleaning. The hygienist was quick and painless.The cost was covered entirely by my insurance. Dr. Schneider chair-side manner is great, he ask with interest about any oral or mouth problems you may be having. He looks at your teeth and he makes suggestions for possibly improving your oral hygiene. Dr. Schneider's desk staff is excellent, although my last visit was only my second visit to his office, his staff treated me as if I was a long time patient. They were friendly, prompt, and very polite. I would recommend this office to any of my friends without any hesitation .

Dr. Schneider and his team are wonderful. They are cheerful and want to make your visit comfortable. They just can't do enough for you.

I had the same dentist for 20 years and relocated to DC - I found Dr. Schneider on the Best Dentists in DC list; and he is! He explains everything he is going to do in detail; has a pleasant manner and does a beautiful job. I had a crown placed and it was a good experience. I hightly recommend him.

Best service, best staff, smoothest appointments I've ever had.

Not only are they ready to take me back as soon as I walk in the door, but they always greet me by name and with a smile. The hygienists are awesome. They really took the time to talk to me about my teeth and give me tips on how to brush and floss. They are very personable- no awkward conversations like with other offices. The whole staff takes the time to get to know me as a person, not just a patient.

Dr. Schneider is very personable and obviously takes pride in doing an outstanding job. He noticed that a crown put in by my former dentist was not fitting properly. He helped me work with my former dentist to have her replace it at no charge. He didn't need to do that, but he went the extra mile for his patient.

The front staff helps me request insurance reimbursement too- very knowledgeable about it, and I never have any problems.

I was recommended to this office by a friend and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

I am a dentist in Florida. I went to school with Dr. Schneider. When I needed some dental work, I decided to fly up and Dr. Schneider do my work. I am in a better position than most people to evaluate dental treatment.

I've gone to Dr. Schneider for 5 years. While I don't like going to the dentist, I love Dr. Schneider! I had to have some caps put on my back teeth, which was really difficult for me b/c I have a hard time holding my mouth open, and he just worked with me, allowing me time to redst and relax and trying to calm me as much as he could. Great staff too--always remember who I am.

I needed my first filling and I'm terribly phobic of dentists but I am so glad I went to Dr. Schneider. I was extremely panicky on my first visit and was very understanding and patient with me. He did alot to try and help me calm down for the filling and it was virtually pain free. The facilities are just fine, the fact that it's a smaller office doesn't really make any difference. I highly recommend Dr. Schneider, especially to those that have any kind anxieties about going to the dentist.

I had a great experience with Dr. Schneider. I quit going to my previous dentist because he had a habit of belittling and lecturing his patients. When I made an appointment with Dr. Schneider, I had not been to the dentist in 3+ years. In looking for a new dentist, I definitely wanted someone who would be non-judgmental and who would not make me once again stop going to the dentist. Dr. Schneider and his staff could not have been nicer or more welcoming. They were extremely positive and professional, and made going to the dentist extremely stress free. I also thought that Dr. Schneider was very knowledgeable and had an excellent way of interacting with his patients. Overall I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone!

About Hygienist: I don't remember the hygienist's name, but she was fabulous. Very gentle, easy-going, and efficient!

I had never been to a dentist before Dr Schneider. It was the most pleasant experience you could imagine. His injections aren't injections, they're mouth massages! I never even knew I was poked! The staff is lovely. Everyone was nice and made me feel like I was on the set of Cheers. It was that comfortable. I recalled all the horror stories I had heard people tell me about going to the dentist and as my first time I would feel pain unlike anything I had ever felt before. It's really a good experience and hope you try it out!

I am a new patient to Dr. Scneider. After having moved to DC from California I had to find a new dentist. I was nervous since I have been going to the same great dentist at home for my entire life. However, Dr. Schneider's office was great. Everyone there is warm and friendly. I am so happy to have found a dentist I like so much on the first try! I got my teeth cleaned there in the fall, and not only did it go well, but it was of high quality just like home. After having visited another dentist in college I know this is not the case everywhere.

Dr. Schneider is a class act. After moving to DC from New York I was anxious about finding a new dentist. It had taken me five visits to find a dentist I was happy with in New York. I had not been to the dentist in over 15 years! I knew it was long overdue but I kept putting it off. I promised my family I would go and I wish I had visited Dr. Schneider's Office sooner. Bottom line is this: Excellent customer service, extremely friendly, relaxed atmospere and Dr. Schneider was very informative and straight forward. 1/2 block from Metro too! I left regreting I hadnt visited sooner but knowing that I now have a regular dentist.

If you need a dentist, this is the place to go....stop looking anywhere else....you are just wasting your time.

I've had a nasty toothache for quote some time. Despite the fact he is booked solid and one of the most prominent dentists in DC, he took me the next business day. I saw two other dentists that did nothing for me and he is the only one with a reasonable theory as to why I am suffering, and a solution to end it. I haven't been treated yet, and the date they scheduled me is a bit farther out than I'd like (or am comfortable with), but I am willing to wait for him based on what I have seen so far. There are tv's up towards the ceiling facing "the chair" so you can watch tv while your teeth are getting fixed. It helps to get the mind off the procedure.

I went in this morning to have two cavities fixed. The procedure took less than one hour for both. Dr. Schneider made sure that I was not in any kind of pain. He has no problem administering more novocaine if it's needed. I'm going in next wed. for one more and that should be it.

It was a pleasant surprise when he mentioned I grind my teeth. I must be doing it when I sleep because I know I don't do it while I'm awake. No dentist in my entire life has ever brought it up, so we will be discussing mouthpieces on my next appointment. Apparently my back teeth are more worn out compared to say, a 35-40 year old's back teeth. He just saved me from getting dental crowns this early in my life. (24 years old)

You can't been quality work. I've recommended him to two people already today.

The first contact over the phone with the friendy staff was already impressive - they do a great job trying to pronounce my name right, which not often happens when you are a foreigner!

Everyone in Dr. Schneiderﾴs practice seems to be ready to listen to your concerns, answer questions, give recommendations and to do an excellent job with a great friendly attitude.

I had gone to only one dentist my whole life until I recently moved, so I was nervous to try someone new. Dr. Schneider's office was welcoming, pleasant, and very clean. They made sure my insurance covered my cleaning, and they took the time to know my name. Dr. Schneider made an effort to get to know me as a person, explained to me everything he was doing and explained the dental issues in a language I could understand. We joked and laughed, and the minute I walked out of his office, I was recommending him to my co-workers. I love his location in downtown DC because I can visit on a break from work.

Dr. Schneider is absolutely wonderful and his staff was amazing. Everyone in the office was incrediably knowledgeable and were able to answer many questions I expected only the doctor to be able to. Dr. Schneider's bedside-manner is fabulous. I received a bit of upsetting news about possibly needing braces although I'm 21, but as we discussed my options, he did a wonderful job of making me comfortable with the fact that I have to do what is best for the future, not just this very moment.

I highly recomend him to anyone looking for a new dentist, long or short term. I felt as if he had been my doctor for years, two minutes after meeting him.

Probably the best run medical practice I've ever visited of any kind. A leader in customer service.

Extremely cordial, professional, motivated and efficient. Following the visit, my bill and insurance coverage was immediately explained to me line by line.

Dr. Schneider has an excellent bedside manner. Very informative, frank and direct. He broke down my dental health looking at the big picture and gave me a 'peer like' opinion on my best options going forward. I have a very high confidence in his abilities.

I have never been a fan of going to the dentist. OK, I'm scared. Prior to my visit with Dr. Schneider it had been about 5 years since my last dental appointment. I was very impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff. The hygenist who did my cleaning and intial check-up was wonderfull, I barely felt a thing. I just moved to the area and was scheduled to see Dr. Schneider in a few weeks for my first check-up. Before that scheduled appointment, I developed tooth pain. I called the Doctor over the weekend, and he was SO helpful and friendly, offering advice to help alleviate the pain.

On the Monday after the weekend, the office fit in me in for a full appointment. Every single person I met in the office was friendly and competent; it was a pleasure visiting this dentist.

I am very pleased with the care and attention provided by Dr. Schneider and his staff. I like to get my appointments early in the morning before work and have been able to do so and get in and out promptly and, most importantly, with excellent work being done. It is both a very professional and very friendly atmosphere, which helps since dental work is not something most people look forward to. I've only been going to Dr. Schneider for less than a year, but I've had significant work done and am very impressed and highly recommend. I could not have been more pleased with Dr. Schneider and his entire staff. I came to be a patient because of a dental emergency and have had one visit since.

I am relatively new to DC and have been traveling back home to my family dentist for almost two years. Although I continue to love my previous dentist, I am very shocked at what I now know has been a great lack of care and attention to my teeth from my previous doctor.

Dr. Schneider and his staff are very pleasant and competent. My previous dentist caused some damage and Dr. Schneider had to clean up the mess. I've been very impressed with his skills and demeanor. Unfortunately they do not participate "in-network" in any Dental insurances, so you always have to pay extra out-of-pocket. I guess that's just the price you need to pay for good dental care in this area.

I can highly recommend Dr Schneider. He is friendly, knowledgable, and listens to you. All the staff is exceptionally friendly. When he discovered that I had a loose inlay that needed replacement, he managed to schedule another appointment for the same day and suggested a treatment that was a lot easier to do and much cheaper than the one I had before. Dr. Schneider is a very good dentist, the best that I know of. He is very keen at making diagnosis, and he makes cost-effective treatment plan with the best result. He thinks for the patient. Although I used to be scared of dentists, and always try to postpone my dental appointment before. Since I started my treatment with Dr. Schneider, I enjoy it so much and can't wait for my next one. The result, I have whitened my teeth completely and have two perfect crown teeth and never feel so confident in life. I like Dr. Schneider's support team, Ebony is so professional and friendly, Lisa and Christie always make me feel like back home. I would recommend everyone to have a teeth spa at Dr. Schneider's.

Dr. Schneider's website indicates that his office has "a reception area--not a waiting room." I'm not sure what part of his "reception area" isn't a standard doctor's waiting room, and perhaps a bit more cramped. Be that as it may, I found Dr. Schneider and his whole staff to be absolutely charming and among the best dental staff I have encountered. My first visit was pleasant, and he recommended a treatment plan that makes me very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Schneider, if not his "reception area!"

I recently relocated from the Atlanta, Georgia region of the country to work with my company in the DC Metro area. Having had the same dentist for years, I did have a little apprehension about utilizing the services of another Dentist. My husband and I have been a patient of Dr Schneiders for over 10 years (maybe longer!). Even though my office moved to Maryland, I still make the trip into DC just to see him and his wonderful hygienists, and office staff.

Early in my visits to Dr. Schneider, I had a major tooth problem just before getting married, we're talking EMERGENCY for the bride. They got me in, took care of it with professionalism, and my smile was great on the big day!

Lisa is great--many times figuring out insurance things before I do. That's priceless!

I love all the hygienists and the office staff too. I feel like part of the family which is great. Everyone is professional and CARING--hard to find these days.

Dr. Schneider has been our dentist for about 5 years and has treated members of my extended family ranging in age from 8 to late 80s. Everyone has been happy with him. My children were going to a special children's dentist, and vastly prefer Dr. Schneider. My older relatives think highly of him. His staff is excellent: the administrative staff, the dental hygenists, and the assistants. I am self-employed and have no dental insurance. Dr. Schneider has been very helpful in recommending a sequence of treatments that will give us the care we need without over-selling us. When we have needed dental specialists, his referrals to colleagues have been outstanding. When we have needed him an emergency basis, he has always been available. He is up to date on the latest techniques and materials. He is an excellent problem solver, and his concentration is total when he is attending to a patient.

I am a self-described high maintenance dental patient. After years of dental neglect resulting in two root canals and two crowns, I found a dental savior in the mid-1970's with whom I deeply bonded until his retirement 25 years later. This dentist sold his practice to "Dr. Ev", assuring patients like me that we would be

loved and cared for in the same manner as we had gratefully become accustomed to over the years. I was naturally skeptical and nervous. We were given a year's transition from one dentist to the other - a concept that any retiring dentist should follow! - which allowed me to become acquainted with Dr. Ev's practice. Dr. Ev's philosophy of "low anxiety" dentistry mirrored that of my former dentist with the additional advantage that Dr. Ev's office environment was even more accommodating to patients. If anybody is having a bad day, I never know about it. I have come into the office with tears and troubles and have received extra attention and hugs along with the A-one professional dental care. I trust Dr. Ev with my teeth. When he gently told me that I "had to do better" with my daily care, I listened because I wanted a better "review" on my next visit. He put one of my teeth on a "watch list" and sure enough we were able to prevent something serious from developing. I don't believe that he recommends an unnecessary procedure, so I proceed with his advice. Others have described the specifics of the practice: the staff that I look forward to seeing each visit, the pain-free techniques of Dr. Ev and The Team, the headphones and DVDs of favorite sitcoms as diversions during treatment, the auto-billing to insurance..........all that is super, of course. However, for a patient like me the major reason my friends and I love this practice is that we feel comfortable and safe with the exceptional care we receive. I am invested for the long term and my teeth will look their best thanks to Dr. Schneider and his staff.

Dr. Schneider and his staff are wonderful!

A fellow co-worker recommended Dr. Schneider when I was working at our DC office. He came highly recommended and after my first visit I knew why. After a few months the majority of our staff at the DC office ended up using Dr. Schneider as a dentist (word of mouth travels far).

Every experience I have with his office is outstanding, from the receptionist to the Dental Hygienist to Dr. Schneider himself. I have never had to wait on my appointment (as I have many of times at my doctor's office). Whenever I am running late for an appointment, the office never forces me to reschedule. As the staff is very efficient, they are always on point in getting in and out quickly. This said I never feel like I am being rushed out.

Everyone who I have come into contact with at the office is very professional, warm and friendly. I now work in Reston and because of the office environment and quality of his staff; I still visit Dr. Schneider in DC four times a year for checkups. Anyone who asks for a dentist referral, I point in his direction.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Schneider and I was surprised by how accurate his doctoroogle reviews were. It's clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares for his patients' welfare. What's not clear is why more doctors aren't like him. He has a natural and engaging chair-side manner that is authoritative yet approachable. He is thorough and takes the time to answer questions. You can tell he cares.

But wait, there's more! He comes with a full package-- a courteous and professional support staff helmed by the lovely Lisa (she answered my first query email immediately and along with Christina, Cristina and Ebony, took special care of me); comfortable and entertaining "reception area" (don't expect ratty old issues of Family Circle or Golf Digest); location, location, location (right next to two metro stops). There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe my experience, but I suppose actions speak louder than words. I only went to Dr. Schneider for a second opinion but now I'm switching dentists so he'll be my first and only.

I have not had a bad experience ever while being treated by Dr. Schneider and his friendly staff. Dr. Schneider has great dexterity and the local anesthesia has always been effective and painlessly administered. The finished dental work has been of superior qualitiy. I can only recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great dentist.

Dr. Schneider accepts Aetna insurance and files with the insurance. I pay the co-pay out of pocket and then receive the bill for the balance between his charges and what the insurance covers. The costs are not cheap, but I rather spend a bit more and get good results.

His hygienists are thorough, professional, and friendly, and cleaned my teeth very well each time.

The front desk staff is mild mannered and professional.

I moved to Dr. Schneider after 30 years with another dentist and I was obviously concerned I'd never get the dental care and patient treatment to which I was accustomed. After a couple of visits to Dr. Schneider's office all my doubts were gone.

I originally went to Dr. Schneider's with a bad toothache that turned out to require a root canal (which he arranged at a specialist within two hours). The staff, from Chrissie up front to Ebony his assitant, were both professional and friendly. Lisa, who manages the practice, followed up with me after the root canal even before the endodontist's office who did the root canal. Subsequent work has been both highest quality and quite reasonable in cost. One reason that I will keep coming back is that, when a crown came in, Dr. S. said right away that it was not up to his standards and wanted to send it back for correction. This was done, of course, with no added cost to me.

Doctor Schneider has been my dentist for the past 9 years and before I met him, I hated to go to a dentist. He is wonderful at putting you at ease and doing the job right the first time quickly, efficiently and as painlessly as possible (I am a real chicken when it comes to pain!). He is not in my insurance network but good health care is important and I can not imagine going to any other dentist. They process/handle all my billing paper work and only charge me the relevant portion which is comparable to other good practices in downtown DC. From the second I walked into the office, I was totally at ease due in large part to the personalities of Dr. Schneider (in his denim scrubs) and his staff. Dr. Schneider and his staff have always been friendly, interested in the health of my teeeth and in my life, and professional. I have never felt as though Dr. Schneider overcharged me or wanted to do anything to my teeth that wasn't necessary or in my best interest.

I have been going to Dr. Schneider for more than 10 years and now even drive in from Northern Virginia to see him in his D.C. office. He is a perfectionist about his work, has a great bedside manner and is just generally top notch and conscientious. One time I woke up in the middle of the night on a Saturday with an excrutiating toothache; I called Dr. Schneider's office at about 5am and he met me at his office on a to help me at 6am that same Saturday morning (I was almost crying when I got there and he helped ease my extreme pain within minutes). His practice is run so efficiently, too. I think if you work in Dr. Schneider's office, the rule is that you have to be the best at what you do and care deeply about every patient who walks through the door.

Best experience at the dentist ever! I hated going to the dentist, but finally just decided I had to make an appointment. These are the niceset group of people one could ever hope for and they NEVER made me feel bad about neglecting my teeth. They kept the pain to a minimum and talked me through everything...I have a follow up appointment in two weeks and I'm actually excited.

I would recommend Dr. Schneider and I in fact did so to one of my co-workers who also goes to him. Cost is reasonable, staff is very pleasant and very helpful. Dr. Schneider makes effort to minimize pain and is also very pleasant and helpful. The staff takes time to help with and explain insurance. The hygienists are also patient and helpful.

Dr. Schneider is honest and reliable. A previous dentist had told me that I needed four fillings, which sounded strange to me because I had no tooth pain at all. I visited Dr. Schneider and found out that I didn't need any fillings. I was shocked. I tend to trust medical professionals and this experience awakened me to the reality that some dentists are greedy and unethical. I am fortunate to have found a great dentist like Dr. Schneider who, unlike others, does not jeapordize his patients' health to make a few extra bucks.

Upon my first visit a couple of years ago, Dr. Schneider immediately diagnosed me as a candidate for orthagnastic surgery. This was something overlooked by dentists for the past 10 years. His helpful staff assisted me in coordinating consults with other area doctors and dentists that Dr. Schneider recommended.

It's a long process, but I am 75% done with my treatment, and he has continued to keep careful tabs on my progress. The communication that he has maintained with my surgeon and orthodontist throughout has been very impressive.

I have always received the best treatment from Dr. Schneider and his staff. I love getting my teeth cleaned by Christine!

Dr. Schneider was recommended to me by his brother and if his brother recommends him then I knew he had to be good. What I find out instead was that he and his staff were GREAT!

I'm very picky about who I go to and always have such great service and the atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable that I've recommended and sent many people to him. Several of my friends have intense fears of dentists but once they went to Dr. Schneider, all their fears were shattered.

If I ever move from the area, I will arrange to come back just to keep him as my dentist.

I started going to Dr. Schneider over a decade ago at the recommendation of my periodontist when my previous dentist retired. I visit the office twice a year for hygienist care and inspections and otherwise infrequently for necessary repairs. He does done a few difficult fillings and crowns with no pain on my part. With his care and that of my periodontist's hygienists I have not lost any teeth since getting my gum line lowered 24 years ago by my periodontist.

Dr. Schneider and the staff are friendly and efficient and I have had no waiting time in the outer office. Insurance forms are filled out by the staff and future semi-annual appointments are made before I leave the office. Convenient parking is available across the street.

Dr. Schneider and his staff should be commended for their excellence in customer service, work ethic, and genuine concern for their patients. Aside from his jovial attitude, Dr. Schneider's work is second to none and he takes the time to make sure the patient is comfortable and understands the course of treatment.

I really feel like a member of the Schneider DDS family as I am always warmly greeted by the staff, including his senior staffer, Lisa.

Unfortunately in healthcare, patients are often shuffled around and have to deal with unpleasant staff and disconnected providers. If you are looking for a place where the staff and provider is genuinely concerned with your well being, is well mannered, and makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience, then Dr. Schneider's is for you!

After going to Dr. Schneider for five years, I have found him and his assistants to be quite competent and pleasant. They are service oriented, emphasize preventative ideas and have been cautious regarding treatments that are not clearly needed.
