Case Description
My son has a wisdom tooth on bottom left coming in. It has been bothering him. He has not had dental work in four years and that was not good experience. We can not get xrays on him or good exam. We need someone who can do iv sedation and is honest about dental work. Probably need the bottom two wisdom teeth out. Also would be nice to have cleaning and exam on teeth.

You will need an oral surgeon and you should extract all remaining wisdom teeth. Perhaps you can have the surgeon arrange for a hygienist to do a cleaning, but probably wishful thinking. The university of Maryland dental school has a special patient program who may be willing to see your son. Look online at www.umaryland.edu

Hi,I am an oral surgeon and can remove his wisdom teeth under iv sedation as needed. I do not do dental cleanings however. I would suggest you locate an oral surgeon who my have all which is necassary to make your sons visit comfortable. Good luck.

I am sorry that your son had a bad experience with a dentist.I am a general dentist in Fairfax, Va., I can do your son''''s exam, cleaning, fillings and 3rd molar extraction. The only thing I can''''t do is IV sedation, what I can do for him is oral sedation with a pill. I had good experience with doing 3rd molar extraction under oral sedation.
