I am trying to find a dentist who can treat cold sores with lasers and what the expected cost might be. Does anyone do this?

I provide this service. It will result in clearing up the sore quickly. If you have recurring sores, they still may recurr. I am not sure what our fee is, but I cannot imagine it is too expensive. If you have insurance, it should cover the exam.

Cost Estimate: $30-90
Our office treats cold sores with the waterlase. It is a relatively painless way to reduce the healing time. Another excellent treatment is Denavir ointment. Available by prescription only, it also reduces healing time and would be less expensive than the laser. Denavir is about $30, and laser treatment is around $90. Dr. Michael Rogers,Arlington, VA
