Are You This Patient?
When selecting a new doctor, consider the following:
Quality of Explanations: Compare dentist replies. Give preference to well-reasoned, detail-oriented, transparent explanations.
Experience & Qualifications: If a dentist has a practice listing, check their practice description,
special training, typical office procedures and before & after case photographs.
Other Patients' Freedback: If a dentist has reviews, read other patients' reviews. The more
reviews they have, the more likely it is that other patients' feeback is accurate.
Treatment Costs: Dental procedure costs vary from practice to practice and depend on a variety of factors.
Because quality of patient care and treatment results vary from practice to practice most dentists will not "price-match" treatment fees of others.

The fees for extractions range from $150 - 225. We would also need at least a single Xray and possible a more comprehensive one, which would add anywhere from $20 - 105 to the cost. There is a chance that you may have to see an oral surgeon for your extraction, but it is impossible to say without seeing the tooth or an Xray.Good luck

Depends on the difficulty of the extraction, but you are probably looking at $200-$400. We will definitely take it out and you will not get a referral.

Hello,Sorry to hear you need a tooth extracted. The previous estimates are probably very accurate, and the range is large because extractions can be very simple or extremely difficult and complex. You mentioned the tooth was broken to the gumline, so plan on the higher range of the estimates. Before extracting the tooth, you would be well advised to consider replacing it. You should consult with someone who is skilled in dental implants, and if that is not an option for you, you need to understand the differences between fixed bridges and partial dentures. Finally, you need to be aware of the consequences of removing the tooth and not replacing it.Finally, dentistry is one of the areas where you probably should not look for the best price. I would go to the most expensive dentist that still fit my budget.Sincerely,Dr. Michael Rogers, Arlington, VAArlington, VA
